Help with cable management in North East England area. Will pay for help.. :S

oh dear god, does that even work?? lol :p

yea  Although I keep meaning to grab a current meter to see how much my PSU is pulling, as I'm sure it's close to it's limit... 6HDD, an OCed E2180, and a 4870... but I leave the side off a lot of the time, although at the moment I have the side on, and even with the dust my CPU is idle at about 40C (a little warm, but I don't have time to clean it out at the moment) and it doesn't get any higher than about 53C ish at full load.

Route as many cables as you can behind the motherboard and if they dont stretch get extensions you can also hide excess cable behind the motherboard on top of optical drives and below hard drives.

it's pointed at the NB :p it was getting quite warm when I was OCing, so I stuck that there, and it seemed fine after that

lol I have a fan right beside my nb cooler than again i have a oem packard bell board so the fan is like 4 times the size of the nb cooler.

Heres mine...bear in mind its a small micro atx case:

Is that a H50? What temps are you getting with it, as it only has one fan, and looks like it's stock? :O

One-by-one route the cables through the holes in your case, you should be able to hide a LOT of them

Yes it is a h50 and its set up the standard way with the fan sucking air from outside the case onto the rad..

Obv u can put 2 fans on I suspect but are there any alternative ways to improve the h50?

Anyone? and good fan recommendations welcome..

BoroRob Uk if your still looking for help i am in ts1 central middlesbrough, be happy to try and help you out if you want to bring the rig down (i dont drive) and i have most of the bits n bobs a cable tidy would need here - save your £50 notes and send message via trust if your still "tied up" :D

902 are not bad at all for cable management. Just use all the holes provided and route everything behind. Its a right mess on the other side but you dont see it and there is no airflow behind there so no worries :) Got some pre braided NZXT cable in the post to tidy mine up a bit more:

^^ That looks very tidy Dave..

SETI, I'm going to have a go at it myself first see if I can pull it off I do need to learn how to do this really...

If i get stuck tho Ill contact you for help. Do you have MSN Messenger SETI ? PM me ur address plz if u do..

So, guys, what NZXT cables will I need to do all this properly? Links plz

Well you dont need the extra cables by any means. You could achieve something similar to mine with a bit of time. Since that pic I've used a few cable ties which help keep things together.

These are the prebraided cables you can get, it just finishes the system off to make it look more professional really.

If I were you I'd just get stuck in hiding and re-routing as much stuff as you can through the holes and out of sight. Then once you have achieved as tidy a machine as you can from that have a look and see if those prebraided cables can help make it look even tidier.

Dave how did u manage to get the front USb cable from the top of the case the whole way down the back and into the slot? It just wasnt long enough :(

Yeah its pretty tight! If the connection on to the motherboard was just slightly further it wouldn't have reached. As you can see from my pics they are pretty much pulled as tight as possible.

I pulled at it and the on button etc cables and they snapped loose from something (I guess there is another clip above the DVD drive holding them together) which gave me the extra 30-40mm needed. To be honest I thought I had pulled them out of the connection to the ports at the top! But all is fine they are working, but be careful if you intend on pulling them for the extra few mm too. May be easier to use: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-043-AK&groupid=701&catid=1428&subcat=1689

Hmm I'll have a check next time my case is open cheers. Yeah I had seen those extensions when I ordered my rig, was out of stock then (which was months ago) and still are...

Just installed a couple NZXT prebraided cables, 24pin ATX, 2x 6pin GPU cables and a molex to 2x SATA power.

Just got a few more little tweaks then I will be 100% happy :)

The side back side wasn't exactly easy to get back on though...! Still squeezed it back on eventually.
