GTX485 Spotted :)

i will reserve judgement.

if its cooler then i will go for it, if performance is the same, im not too bothered.

heat output is my primary concern

Talking about heat, and slightly off-topic Rich, but what temps do you get on your 480 in your water loop with the CPU in it.

Back on topic: If it's better than the 480 when I buy, then I will go for it.

Its real guys :)

HERE

What you guys think ?

What sort of performance difference would there be from a GTX480 ?

What I think is you haven't read the article or you glanced at it and imagined what you wanted it to be, the author speculated that this was the 512sp version he never said it actually was the GTX485.

In fact haven't we seen this board before somewhere? It looks like one of those novelty boards put out by Asus or one of Nvidia's other board partners but I could swear I've seen that picture before.

i dont see how you can say that it wont be faster because it only has 32 more sp's, the 470 has 36 less sp's than a 480 and is more than 5% slower, in some games 30% slower at very high detail. so it stands to reason that this could be a lot faster, but unfortunately we will not find out until its released,

How do we know that this is good info? Might be better to wait for other sites to pop up with their own versions (and not just nicked from this site)

Judging by the use of two 8 pin PCI-E power connectors over the 6+8 pin of I kinda doubt a reduction in power usage over the 480, and heat for that matter (unless they redesign the cooler).

Could perform nicely though.

 That's what I said he's speculating that it's the 485 nobody came out and stated definitively that this was the card in question, the only person who has said that this was the 485 is the OP.

" One more photo was spotted at expreview, a new GeForce GTX 480 model that features the full 512 shaders processors. The card has the same frequencies on core, shaders and memory as the reference GeForce GTX 480. "

So what does that mean then?

Its the full fat fermi, and everybody knows this was always on the cards so why be negative about it ?

the most important thing is that the price of the 480 will drop even more as the launch of a new card looms nearer.
