Origami

Don't usually do it - but my sister asked for money for her birthday this year - so instead of just handing her the moola - I decided to fold a £20 note into the shape of a T-Shirt :D

I have a picture of it on my phone I think - Will post it later :p

I was going to say I could think of many more things I would rather do, I guess I would still stick by the statement, but im quite impressed with some of those in that link. very good.

Used to be an Origami Club here but it folded soon after opening.

:D That was almost worth it's own thread!

I believe even folding a paper aeroplane is classed as origami. :p I'm sure there's quite a few people who can do the crisp packet triangle:

I can make a couple of different flowers, always good for impressing a girl in a bar, fold her a flower out of a napkin or receipt.

I used to have a freind that made roses and left them all over the place as a kind of calling card.

I used to when I was a Kid. There was a TV show back in the 1970's with a chap called Robert Harbin. I got my folks to buy all the books out there at the time & got folding. I ended up making a few paper birds for my school teacher, she was so interested. Thats all I remember about it as it was almost 40 years ago.

I used to do it at school but grew out of it as well.

Replaced it with old cars, dangerous tools and beer :)

I love origami, I have a few daft peices that's on display at home I will post pics they are really daft ones.

I'd like to think I'm crafty but not very imaginative I'm an instruction follower

Cringworthy jokes are cringeworthy. :p

It would be great to see them. That's how I used to be, I would just follow instructions rather than try to invent my own generally, mainly as I didn't have the ability to figure out how to create what I wanted.
