is your big toe your biggest toe?

It does appear slightly longer than my big toe, but in reality I think it's that the 'knuckle' is further forward. I sure wouldn't say I'm naturally sporty!

Heard the one about having a longer ring finger than first finger? Apparently means high testosterone levels (while in the womb I assume). My ring finger is substantially longer than my first finger on my right hand, a little big longer on my left! Wierd.

Looking at my fingers....I think mine sound the same as yours.

Missus suffers Morton’s Metatarsalgia.

Metatarsalgia is caused by the compression of a small toe nerve between two displaced metatarsal bones. Inflammation occurs when the head of one displaced metatarsal bone presses against another and they catch the nerve between them. With every step, the nerve is pushed together by the bones and then rubbed, pressed again, and irritated without relief. Consequently, the surrounding nerve tissue becomes enlarged, with a sheath of scar tissue that forms to protect the nerve fibers.
Metatarsalgia really covers a group of foot disorders. The classic symptom is pain in the front (ball) of the foot. Many people say that it is "like walking on pebbles," but x-rays usually show nothing irregular.
The problem affects males and females from adolescents to older adults. It is most common in middle-aged women.

Few years back, she had a horrendous car crash which broke both her ankles and this sadly caused the symptoms to worsen as her ankles healed and the compressions of the nerves of her larger then her first toe toes to cause considerable pain.

They operated to remove bone from the second, third and forth metatarsal to create even toes and allow the toes to from correctly from first to last. Her first foot was fine, her second foot had complications and they pumped her full of corticosteroid into the tender area which caused considerable weight gain.

This caused considerable pain in the ball of her feet, meaning with the already apparent pain, weight gain and complications from the second operation, it meant that having toes larger then the first toe can cause considerable problems further in life.

Thankfully, three years on she is now able to work without pain and dropped a considerable amount of weight – which has helped.

Her feet BTW are quite freaky to look at. Least I never have to worry about buying her high heals, she wears comfy shoes, but for a few years she’d wear men’s shoes – she couldn’t put normal womans shoes on, her feet were too swollen.

Some pictures on here of my feet, you can go have a look if you dare ;)

They involve blood tho :p
