Hi need a bit of help building a new pc i7 stuck on which g/card to use dont play games that much but would be a bonus if it could play some titles but will be using to watch dvd play back . Not sure what resolution would be needed or ram to fill monitors of 22"to 24" widescreen below £100 if you can get a card that can fill all the above hope not asking to much. I await your replys many thanks for any help.

hello,...
to watch DVD's Core 2 Due E6xxx, E8xxx will be more then enough...same to gaming, if you are not gamer, this processors will cope with no problem!

as to GPU, most important is RESOLUTION OF MONITOR, not size (22")

most 22" will be 1680x1050 and/or 1920x1080 and 24" wil be 1920x1080 or/and 1920x1200...

for DVD even HD4770/HD4850 1GB is perfect,..but for gaming HD4850 at 1920x1200 won't be very good choice!

HD4870/HD5770 is a good choice

Hi ive not built a system for a number of years thought if you going to build one might aswell be as good as possible already purchase cpu + mb power supply case all from over clockers. Also forgot to mention it will be used to encode video from time to time more processor power the faster it gets done + 6GB of ram. thanks for all your input.
