Has anyone done any voluntary work for the Citizen's Advice Bureau? I picked up some forms the other day to give me something to do in between applying for jobs, also it'll hopefully look nice on my CV. When I went to pick up the forms to apply as a volunteer there were some rather butch women literally screaming at the secretary behind the desk! I don't particularly want to end up being shouted at for the duration of my time there, so has anyone worked for them before and if so how did you find it?

:)

It's CAB, of course you're going to get an earful from idiots who don't get the answer they want. You'll get extremely thankful ones too. Same for any customer service role. There are other places to volunteer though, try and find something relative to what you wish to do, or go to Oxfam or somthing.

It's just something to keep me busy in the day times, I didn't think of charity shops, I'm sure they need an extra pair of hands so I think I may ring around the local ones. :)

Hey, don't you have enough problems of your own without listening to other peoples? :-)
