im about to go cry myself to sleep because i dont have animated wallpapers and theres 2 SE apps on it that i can easily ignore by not opening. damn you SE !
is everyone whos slating 1.6 tottally ignoring the fact that the OP has actually tried it and not noticed how god damn horribly awful the 10month old OS is. HTC make that brown case out of baby poo btw

And yes, you are right in saying 2.1 did not add all that much to be seen (Other than live wallpapers) but you refuse to look at 2.0?
So now you can see in plain text the THREE updates you might realise how terrible SE are being with updates and how you have a phone on par with the likes of Desire, N1, Galazy S, but software IS a large letdown for the phone.
once again you have just showed that you havent even tried the x10 properly like the OP and other posters have. it has half those 2.0 'updates' through sonys custom 1.6 kernels.

And there are hundreds with a Desire, if the X10 was a clearly better handset and didn't suffer from any issues that all the review sites said that it had, this wouldn't be the case.
I know you will say they have all been fixed now and so on...
I still think as I've said before you are just a bit disappointed you didn't get the Desire instead, you obviously really like rooting and so on which is a more enjoyable (albeit confusing) experience on the Desire.
The X10 is by no means a bad phone, it's just behind the best.

There are quite a few on here with an X10, not as many as Desire owners but who really cares?
If people are happy with there phone, good.
No reason to try and crucify everything else on the market though is there?

Take for example Windows Mobile. It had a very good marketshare, comparable with anyone else in the market. But no one loved it, though some people might have liked it. Windows Mobile failed to inspire any loyalty in its users.
Android on the other hand has many, vocal, ardent fans who have transferred identity and loyalty to the Android platform. Whether this is cause or effect, it shows that Google have succeeded to build a platform with the kind of loyalty and excitement around it that can be a market leader.
Unfortunately what all this means is that people will defend their choice with passion and sometimes not a lot of reason or tolerance.

I agree the main thing is that people are happy with their phone.
People do not 'crucify' everything else on the market, they merely are discussing the good and bad points of various phones, some are obviously better than others.
And I agree with the above post by osc89er.
Can I just ask the reasons you want it over a Galaxy S in a bit more detail?
I can agree it does look better aesthetically (with the screen off
), camera is marginally better yes, a lot better if you want a flash.That it?
