okay atm ive got 2 275's in sli an i am aware that they will run Nvidia Surround so iam going to buy 2 more benq monitors and was wondering if i will have enuff power to run most games at full detail like Bad company 2, COD and MOH when it comes out at 5760x1080 res not bothered about AA and AF as there totally out off the question i know that at current 1080 it rips through most games including metro 2033 so was wondering if how people fair with these big resolutions and will i be able to enjoy surround gaming on my set up as is as i dont really want to fork out on new gfx as DX11 really dont rock my world think its more of a sales gimick we ran dx9 for many years so why the quick change from DX10 ? and also there is nothing that i really want on the market plus the monitors are going to cost enuff as it is :o

Many thanks in advance Mr. May

No way im afraid as the Vram is not enough for that res i suspect.

You could do with a 5870 2GB or a GTX 480 for that res

Currently run 2 x gtx 275's in sli here at 1920x1200, as mentioned you may run out of vram at a higher res.

isnt there ment to be no improvment over the 1gb 5870 to the 2gb ?and i was under the impresion the 2x275's was faster than a single 5870 1gb ? so isnt that downgrading and 480 is out off the question to exspensive

The 2gb 5870 will be beneficial when using super high resolutions like yourself

a 1GB 5870 is pointless for your res imo

ermm what about tri sli on the 275's as i would off thought that 3x gfx cards with 3x monitors would be a fair work load as surly the drivers for 3d surround would be optimised that way it would make more sense and have better sli scaling insted of trying to render one image across 3 cards then splitting it between 3 monitors seems a bit backwards to me ? and didnt 3 way sli only see good returns at ultra high res's anyway, correct me if iam wrong as i know 1x275 is enuff for most things @1080 so surly 3x should do good at 3x1080
