Well i always wish i post on here about my selections on Saturdays but I'm usually just getting up rushing to get them on :P

2.45 Ascot CHRISTOPHER WREN 2 point win 11/2

2.50 Haydock ICON DREAM 1 point EW 14/1

I think i should turn a profit today who knows. If i do ill post next week.

Anyone else having a few pennies on ?
 
Not the horses, only do the horses when I go to the meetings (4-6 times a year generally) but I got my footie bet on.

£3 on

Bristol City
Middlesbrough
QPR
Reading
Huddersfield
Peterborough
Southampton

Gets me £167 back so heres hoping :p

you should start having single bets i always used to go for the HIT THE BOOKIES BIG Accumulators but since i started just having singles and managing my stakes Ive actually turned a reasonable profit.

Lets say you thought Bristol had the best chance of winning out of the lot.
you have £3 to stake so you split it into 50ps and have 6 points.

Since you think Bristol has the best chance of winning you place 3 points on Bristol (£1.50) then 2 points on QPR(£1) and 1 point on boro (50p)

I could have included the odds and how you should stake according to odds but there's info all over for that and i don't wanna type all afternoon :)

bookies rely on noobs putting silly uncalculated bets on to turn a profit so don't be a noob :)

gonna look at the odds now and tell you how i woulda staked for £3 brb.

Peterbrough are probably safe one, I would probably have had BC on 2 as well and the others on one. Though saying that they are all going to win just for me :p

your maximum stake is £3 i took £3 and divided it into 6 50p's giving you 6 points 1 point = 50p

its a lot easier to talk like that and it stops people saying how much they put on because everyones 1 point is diffrent depending on how much there bank roll is

depends as stupid as it sounds you can get a better price at the bookies sometimes. its worth a check if you have the time. i got 7/1 on bordlescott the other week when max i could find online was 5 maby 6s.

I will keep my eye out.

My dad is well into the horses, has a small bet during the week and a slightly bigger one on the weekend then sits infront of the TV swearing at the jockeys when they invariably lose :D

Im not too bad, whenever I go to the meetings I generally end up £50+ up at least. Was at Cheltenham a few years back and after reading the form picked a 25/1 winner that everyone else laughed at me about. £20 e/w when it won I was the one laughing :D

edit: still 0-0 Southampton with it getting near to half time.

allways nice when them ones come in :P tell him to just start backing the hannon hughes combo he wont loose asmuch :D

He thinks he knows it all so you cant convince him of anything :D To be honest I think he generally ends up about even most weeks.

I think we should get this thread re-named the official betting thread or something. Will certainly be coming back here regularly to discuss my betting :)
