My PC bit the dust the other night while playing BC2. Just shut off. I am 99.9% sure it's the motherboard (the PSU, RAM, CPU ang GPU run fine in another rig) so what do I do?
I have a Q6600, 4GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800, a Coolermaster iGreen 650 (or somthing like that) and a 5850.
Do I go 1156 and get an i5, keep my RAM and go AMD or spend money on a whole new setup? I'm not sure spending more dosh on old tech is a good move, but I like to upgrade bit by bit, so the wife won't go mental
1156 is being phased out soon isn't it? Would a i5 750 be sufficant for the next 3 years or so? Is going AMD and keeping the DDR2 wise? I am just pretty fed up atm, the PC was fine for all my uses at the moment
