LOL you think its funny but maybe if you put more thought into things you'd not need to have flogged your nice Focus ST for an old Zetec in the first place
 Implying?!?

How dare you even question what's currently going on in my life to make such a sweeping statement!

Most people put more time into chosing breakfast cereal than you've spent on this ridiculously crap deal, what else are to think?

How did you ever think this was going to end well? I don't even know why you posted it, you've been here long enough to know what people here are going to think of somebody spending £3.5k on an 8 year old crap spec Focus 1.6 thats had a smack and asking the dealer to give you a whole 6 months tax instead of a warranty. On what planet was that ever going to be a good idea?

Well if a tatty overpriced Focus with accident damage and no warranty for the sake of £85 worth of tax seems like a good idea to you, god only knows what else you get up to.

The dealer probably would have taken this car in for P/X at around £1500/1800, you've made his day :)

Again, what are you implying?

You have no idea my circumstances right now, so don't pass such a sweeping judgement on me, like I would not on you!

I've decided there's only three possibilities:
  1. This is all a lie
  2. You are an idiot
  3. You are going to die soon and so are never going to actually realise the cost of the decisions

Why do people even bother posting threads like this when the deal is so obviously terrible? And then post things like 'lol it has Ling Long tyres too' - is this some kind of sado masichism thing where you want people to point out how much you fail?

I'm not going to take the mickey but, deal aside, wouldn't you have been better off finding another £1500 for a Mk2? It would have felt like much less of a step down from your current ST.

I've only been doing c.7k miles as it is for the past 8 years. I owned a MK1 Focus previously and seemed to cater well for my needs even if it did have leather seats and a bigger albeit thirstier engine.

This Focus is a set back if you can call it that for the next few years, priorities have changed for the short term.

Rubbish deal . No doubt you will try to defend the purchase as nobody likes to find out they have been ripped off.

That was a long time ago. My Dad had a Mk2 Ford Escort and it catered well for his needs doesnt mean its a good buy these days (Ignore the classic appreciation side of this, its not my point).

Your Mk1 Focus was years ago and wasn't a base model that was 8 years old!

This Focus is a set back if you can call it that for the next few years, priorities have changed for the short term.

Are your new priorities wasting thousands of pounds for no good reason?

I cant beleive you even paid screen price for it!?!

I was looking at dumping the Neon for something a litle bit easier to find parts for at the begining of the year, I was discounting any focus older than a 04/54 that was more than 2.5k.
There are, and I'm not exagerating here, litterally MILLIONS of focuses for sale that are younger, cheaper, more powerful and less leggy than that one.
I dont know how he has managed it.
