Hello folks,
Been a while since I shared my adventures in car....
Anyway, in March 2009 I sold the R32, running a DC2 Type R, V6 GTV and then a E39 535 whilst test driving for "my next car" throughout 2009,
The same R32 came up for sale in Feb 2010 and I accidentally went to Edinburgh and bought it back, being largely unimpressed with the Cayman S, 996 C2S, E46 M3 and (most surprisingly for) the B7 RS4, I went back to what I thought was best. I really really thought the RS4 would set my pants on fire after the R32 but it didn't, below average interior build, quick, but illusively so, and riddled with "bad luck" stories from owners. Add on the under powered rumours and leaking DRC and it just didn't make any sense at all.
Since then I've been driving other cars desperately searching for the "one". When I say the "one", I don't mean on paper, what Evo mag says, or what Clarkson's opinion is. I wanted to know as soon as I saw it, and grin from ear to ear on the first drive.
The E46 CSL came a close second, its a bloody good machine but 25+ grand for a 7 year old car is too much to swallow for day to day use.
Anyway I've found it.... Ive just taken a deposit on my R32 and I've agreed on the price on the new car. Two weeks and counting.......
Goodbye old friend (for good this time)....
I'm leaving you to guess the new one...
