loads of 5770's for sale recently

No just trying to sell them at silly prices before the price drops, people got a whiff of a 5850 price droppage on the horizon.
This and the dodgy drivers lately.
I paid £85 for mine second hand a long while back so I shall take another at £50 when the time is right.

I was not having any performance issues but sold mine for a couple of reasons. Firstly I need the pci-e slot, I have just water-cooled my pc and the added cost of a 2 gpu blocks seemed silly. To top it off I managed to pick up a reference design 5870 for under £200, in the end it was an easy choice.

would have thought people would buy a HD5870 cheaper and cooler and has almost the same performance as the new nvidia cards.

Sold mine a few month's ago mainly because of not being able to get a waterblock that would fit it.

Do standard gpu only blocks not fit them? Used to run my 4850 (similar power use) with one, with custom made vrm sinks (chopped up socket 7 heatsink), normal ram skinks and a near silent spotfan.

I dont see the point of a £60+ waterblock on a £120 card. Reusable standard GPU block and reusable ram sinks for that sort of mid range power card.

I bought a new system, and upgraded to a 5870, so thought i might as well sell the 5770. It's a great card, just thought i'd get a better one whilst i was frittering all my money away :D

Watercooled a pair of them with zalman gpu blocks, low temps made sod all difference to clocking, sold the cards, blocks into my spares box and grabbed a 5870 :) sold them for the same price I paid for them on release day lol.

5850s and 5870s prices are coming back to normal. I'd imagine some people ditching in their Crossfire 5770 setups. After all, there were some driver issues that became rather infamous among Crossfire setups' owners.

Will be selling mine in September/October when I refresh my pc and finally build that loop for it. No point in buying 2 lots of GPU blocks (and a 5770 doesn't need WC anyway) faster RAM, GPU with w block and a new case are my pre Christmas treat

I am selling my Asus 5770 because I got a 5850 recently :)

Problem for me was I am on a 30 inch screen, so I was unable to play some games at native resolution.

Did you get my email easyrider?
