Morning all!
I have a very nice MSI 5850 765/1125 which I have had running @ 950/1150 1.2 for months. The temps have never gone above 74`C.
UNTIL.........
I replaced my Arctic Freezer with a H50 (Push/Pull) and reinstalled Windows. Now my temps are hitting 80`C @ stock after 20 mins of Kombuster.
I am using the same drivers (10.5) but a newer version of Afterburner (1.61 now was 1.51).
Obviously I have lost a 120mm exhaust fan on the back and replaced it with 2 x 120mm on the H50 drawing air in. Even so the temps are a concern. I have a Fractal R2 case with 2 x 140mm exhaust (Roof), 2 x 120mm intake (Front) and 1 x 120mm intake (bottom).
Has losing the rear exhaust really caused this temp rise or am I missing something?
Possibly the newer version of Afterburner giving different temp?
Anyone had similar issues after installing the H50?
Thanks guys, I've left her on stock at the moment but really want to get her back to her former glory as I want to turn on HBAO and 4 x AA on BC2 again
P.S My original overclock is still stable it just gets to warm now.
