Addicted to food and getting bigger!!

Eating is fun, but doing it excessively isn't sustainable as eventually you will explode. To maintain your habit I'd recommend either acquiring bulimia or alternatively, consume only dust.

(Mods, dont worry, not a medical thread! More a banter thread)

Iv been putting on a lot of weight recently, gone from a 32" waist to a 36" over the last year. I mean dont get me wrong, its been gradual, and im not obese or anything. Im just under six foot so i dont look THAT bad either. But daaaaym i can feel it! Any i definally feel annoyed every morning when i relise that less and less of my clothes fit me!

And after thinking long and hard i have relised that i am actually addicted to eating and drinking! I actually do it all the time. And i cant stop! I just love food and drink to much! Naturally the 'nice foods' and drinks are not exactly the healthy options! Plus i work in a buffet restaurant so im always eating and drinking at work to!

Just wondering if others get this to.... Gota be a common thing right?! You just have a snack or another cup of tea because your bored or it just feels normal as apposed to actually being hungry or thirsty?!

You have to find something that you like more then food, it's a free world you can do anything you want so go for it.

I'm the same I love food and drink, I could happily eat pizza and curries every night and wash it down with 5 pints of lager. But I love being in shape even more. So my love of food is focused on chicken, rice, pasta, oily fish, steak, potatos fruit and veg.

Instead of focusing your addiction on fatty foods, why not concentrate on eating healthy things. Combine this with a decent exercise route and you will be abe to lose the bad weight and gain good weight.

You mad mad man, so you like eating but you control it so that you dont get fat. Well that is just cheating. Think of all the poor people that are just forced to eat all day everyday with no choice.

If you offered every fatty a thousand quid not to eat for a day I wonder how many of them would do it. I reckon nearly every one. As mentioned, everyone would like to eat what they like, do what they like and say what they like but we dont because there are consequences of that.

You will either be fat, poor or disliked. Can all the fat people please stop trying to give yourself an excuse for your weight by supporting others who are on the large side. Its sad and will not help your own problems.

Fat people are fat because they have eaten too much for too long, with too little exercise. It gets harder to lose the weight and change, the fatter you get but that is like anything.

To the OP, if you want to lose weight just go and do some exercise. Too many people put the emphasis on eating less but I have always felt the most important thing is to exercise. If you burn loads of calories off it is nice and easy to lose weight because you can be a bit more relaxed about what you eat. Good luck and its nice to see someone who admits that they have porked themselves to being a bit overweight and wants to do something about it so I hope you succeed.

lol

Marjorie Dawes: Dust. Anybody? No? High in fat, low in fat? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. It's actually very low in fat. You can have as much dust as you like. /Little Britain :p

That's fat :p Not obese, but fat! You even say you have a belly so therefore you have a fatty boom chicka boom boom :p

Next you'll be saying you're not fat even though you walk like Kirby xD

I'd tend to agree! I'm a 32" waist and I've still got areas of my body that have more fat than I'm comfortable with. 6ft tall, 32" waist and 11.6st means I'm not overweight, but my body is not a skinny shape. Hence why I've started beasting myself at the gym to put on some muscle. Plenty of protein, always avoid fatty foods if I can, and I try to eat plenty to bulk up and it's making a difference week by week.

Fat people properly repulse me. They are disgusting. Sort it out fatso!

"Often it's not the larger person's excess weight that is the problem, it's the other people's obsession with being thin. "

"Most people want to be slim, but this perceived physical perfection is difficult to hold on to and they fear losing control of it. "

"They project that fear and unhappiness on to people who are bigger and that often translates into abuse and attacks. It's a way of people disassociating themselves from what they fear the most - getting fat."

I've put on a fair bit of weight and can't stand it.

I just eat far too much rubbish.

I'm not going to the gym as I'd just feel embarassed and out of place.

Guess no more fizzy drinks, eating proper meals and playing football again await. Joy.

Although, once you start eating healthy and doing a bit of exercise, be it walking to work, playing football a few times a week, going on a few bike rides, or just hitting the gym for a little it gets to be quite enjoyable and normal, you also feel a million times better.

Staying slim / healthy isn't rocket science. Don't eat bad food, move more.

Thats your diet then surely? (

Yes but I have a Metabolic Burn Rate of only 1200 calories where Mr Average is 2200 calories :(

This is my daily food intake between 7:45 to 19:00 and at 19:00 I will have a bowl of pasta or other such crap.
The drink is caffeine free diet coke but I don't normally drink it.
