PartyPoker rakes and bonus'

Can someone explain these to me? The guide on the program makes no sense at all. It's just worded terribly.

I don't get how i receive bonus points basically...

Is this the points needed to release your deposit bonus?

Its normally a certain amount of points per £/$ raked in each pot.

Yeah it's this but the explantion just doesn't make a lot of sense.
