Murder Mystery Weekend In the Midlands

I am looking to take a little break from the norm and i have been thinking about a murder mystery weekend. Probably looking to go on my own. So has anyone been? Any recommendations? Sounds like a laugh, nice hotel/inn, bit of nice food and above all a break..

They are brilliant, we attended one and nobody actually knew it was a murder mystery evening.

It was a 50th birthday party, there was about 50 of us in total, we were all milling around in the bar waiting to be taken to the dining room. There were people there who nobody seemed to know, 2 women started to have a massive row, everyone was looking wondering what the hell was going on.

One of the women left the room, about 10 minutes we heard a massive scream from the dining room and a bloke came running into the bar saying there was a body in the dining room.

Next thing a Hercule Poirot double appeared and we sat down for dinner!!! And the investigation took place.

There were 8 actors I think, they all all moved around between the tables and you questioned them, they would act out scenes from the plot etc.

It isn't CSI by any stretch of the imagination bit it was really good.

Not really, it all just sort of made sense at that point, especially when Poirot appeared!
