*Official OMG I got my 460 thread*

Finally my Giga gtx460 1gb is in stock! it says "The parcel data has been received" in the courier site. As it is free delivery, I may have to wait some more agonizing days & nights!

Still no-one with a pair 1GB MSI 460's in SLI? I want to know what temps are like if sandwiched in slot #1 and #2? I think due to the lack shroud this cooler will fair better than the Giga's I tried.

Come on Hex you know you want another one ;)

The performance of these cards in SLI is awesome....

Or do I wait for a possible GTX495 with two full GF104's and slap a 3 slot cooler on it lol... :p

Ha, I'd love a 2nd, however I'm on mATX so only the one space for me.

I can see the MSI's handling SLI better than some of the other brands though, as as you say they are open coolers.

But couldn't say for sure.

In other news, a dual GF104 chip card would be lovely, and I'd be damn tempted by one :o

I ordered mine late Saturday night, got it Monday evening with the free delivery. I think I was lucky though! Good luck! :)

My Gigabyte GTX 460 1gb OC version arrived today. You can instantly tell it's got a much more substantial heat-sink than the Palit card - it's much heavier and feels much more solid. Ironically the Gigabyte was around the same price as my Palit card.

The cooling solution looks better than all the other cards I've seen, the only one that gives it a run for the money is the MSI Cyclone, which doesn't have cooling on the VRM chips.

I'll be putting it in my PC tonight, along with a blu-ray drive.

EDIT:

It's installed and you just cannot hear it AT ALL over my case fans, even under max load.

I overclocked it to 800/1600/2000 and played an hour long session of Just Cause 2 with nearly everything at max except with no AA at 1680x1050, and it ran over 30fps constantly and the max temp was 64 degrees, with no noticable fan noise. Idle temp is about 36 degrees. I am very pleased indeed.

guys looking to pick one up soon as my 8800gtx died recently. running a q6600 @ 3.45Ghz with 8GB RAM. the gigabyte can be had for circa £180, or the MSI for a little bit more. I see they both have different cooling solutions - any pros or cons for both? will my processor be a good match for the 460? Ideally looking to game at 1900x1200 res with No AA (if i can get away without it)

Should be fine mate ;)

Really? Going by what has been said throughout this thread that's interesting - have they released a new batch with an improved starting driver or something similar?
