Mongul Rally 2011 car recomendations

Is there a breakdown anywhere of the typical cost of this anywhere? I'm curious. I know you won't be able to pinpoint a figure, but I assume you buy you passage back once you get there from the organisers etc.
 
get an older eastern european car... did VW own Skoda in 2001? Any Ladas kicking about?

I'm on the Mongol Rally now - the Saxo was never introduced past Romania.

A Citroen dealership had to google the Saxo before they believed it was a Citroen
 
Renault Clio could be worth a punt, they're everywhere under different names like the Dacia Logan, etc.
