Mondeo ST220 info and other options

What's an ST220 like around town? 95% of my 3000 annual milage is done in London. I'll make my own thread soon but I already think I should rule out 3.0 saloony things.

Thirsty? Actually I don't mind the thirsty but this "doesn't feel fast" stuff makes me want to get an ST or something.

im averaging 24mpg around town, with a fair amount of loony acceleration.

One thing i forgot to mention was that on the test drive i found the brakes to be entirely rubbish. Hardly any travel on the pedal and if felt as if i was really jumping on them to even slightly slow down. Normal behaviour on an ST or something amiss?

sounds about right, standard brakes are terrible but I found well modulated.
