Same here. But then it might be worth waiting for any higher-end fermi 104 cards that come out :O It could be a while though as they don't want to render the 480 useless yet; however maby the 460 is all they had up their sleeve for the time being.

well tbh delivery is no companies call, its the delivery companies call, its dispatch is what one should look for.

I bought the G92 8800GT as soon as it was released, then the G92 8800GTS was released with all the shaders active. I wonder if we will see a 384 shader GF104 based card soon? I expect the price-premium will be high though.

I'm wondering this myself. No hurry to replace my 260 GTX. Though probably take the plunge before the VAT increase.

What with the 465 going EOL... I would have thought there was a "slot" between the current crop of 460's and the 470. Hey... maybe they with "re-use" the 465 name! Surely not!! Though this is Nvidia we are talking about... So maybe they will.

Just received my 'OCUK' GTX460 1GB today.

It's the Inno3D model with the blower cooler.

I must say, so far I am impressed. The build quality appears top notch although the bundle could be slightly better (include a damn mini HDMI to HDMI cable....).

This is my first time playing around with MSI afterburner as well.

Is it sad that the first thing I checked was whether I could unlock the voltage control?!
 
Having been trying to decide between the 1GB MSI Cyclone or EVGA EE cards I thought I'd finally decided to go for the MSI then I spot that the Point of View GTX 470 have gone down to £220 and considering it's only an extra £30 over the MSI it seems a much better deal, not sure I can live with the noise of the reference GTX 470 cooler though.

Just been playing a bit of Just cause 2 with the card at default clocks.

1680x1050, 4xAA, 16xAF, All settings bar SSAO on medium and motion blur off (makes me feel sick). Even with the Cude water effects the game is perfectly playable. Without the water effects on I can't tell the difference between this card and my old HD5870. Actual framerates are lower when observed in Fraps, but to play, it doesn't feel any different.

I want to run triple monitors for either eyefinity / Surround.

Given all of the issues that have been reported with eyefinity (CF scaling (or lack thereof), stuttering, screen blinking), I decided that I wouldn't take the risk (given the cost involved) and have settled on a nice GTX460 SLI setup*. Plus I wanted to try something new.

Plus i gained around £70 selling my HD5870 and getting the GTX460 and can't tell the difference in game....

*Second card will come when I get paid :o:D
