I bet it cost a fortune but what an excellent way to have your favourite BMW spruced up.
omg im excited in my trousers
I'd have preferred it more if they continued the upgrades (such as the auto box), and brought the entire car up to modern standards, iDrive, cruise, digital climate, and the like.

Nice idea with some older cars, but a 1972 3.0 CSi with iDrive, cruise, digital climate etc fails to continue to be a 'classic car' - which I expect is what the owner wanted.
So how much of that car is now just simply new parts?
I disagree, it still remains as a classic car, just a classic car with modern electronics.
did this take place on the set of Tron 2? look at that architecture O.o

I love the idea that BMW can do this, but the expense must be outrageous.
I also like the fact you could ask for some modifications. Trying to think what I would like... a fully restored M1 with an M5 engine...hmm.
There are obviously going to be two different trains of thought here. Personally if I owned a classic car I'd want it to be the spec it was originally. If I want the comfort of iDrive then I'll get in my 530i.
