Hi,

Just abit of advice really, I am going on holiday as you all probably know by know, I bought some new trainers from a shoe shop trading on the bay, loads of sales from them and very good feedback, I payed for them about 5 days ago, I e-mailed them asking when they would arrive, I have this morning recieved this e-mail.

Hi
The item should have been listed with my holiday message. I am away until September 2nd so you won't get it until the 3rd at earliest. I understand that this may not be convenient and am happy to refund you if you prefer. Out of interest, I would like to know how you managed to buy them as I thought all my listings had been removed while I am on holiday settings and you are not the only person who has done this! Let me know what you want to do, I apologise for this situation.
Many thanks

Now the guy seems to be genuine, also the fact that he replied however I seen no holiday notice on the listing, however I advised to him that I will need a refund ASAP for this as I will need to source and pay for new trainers before my holiday. I gave him either the option to refund by bank xfer (preferred method) or paypal.

I am waiting for a reply, if for what ever reason he doesnt reply, does anyone know if I can get my money back sharpish? or will this go on for weeks?

I payed him via paypal.

Thanks

Were they these?

If so I have a gay friend who can source you them:)

Well, he should do, however im worried that he wont check his e-mails, but what im concerned about is if he dont.

ah yeah sorry i see the issue....hmm just cross your fingers tbh i cant see paypal doing anything fast spam the guy some more its only a 30s email for him too, and as you say its not just you so he wil probably keep track of it now... if not barefoot holiday for j00!

He's got good feedback, reply seems genuine, he explained it was a mistake and offered you a refund.

We don't know any more than you do about whether he'll do it quickly or not... But the quickest way in this case will be to take the offered refund, surely Paypal would fanny about and take ages with something like this.

I'd just take the refund, if he's got good feedback he's probably completely genuine and will want to fix the mistake.

Take the refund and buy again when he's back? might be trying to run the clock down.

Not an option, as I need trainers for holidays in a week, I will be back from holiday by the time he returns and sends them out.

I will purchase elsewhere.

eBays holiday settings are abysmal. If they pull the listing for holidays, you can still actually buy the item if you know the item number, all they do is remove it from search!
The message on the top is too small, and any attempts to get eBay to change it falls on deaf ears. They want people to mark the seller down so they lose discounts etc.

OK Ill bite - auction link?

In the meantime dont stress - have a sunbed session to chill and think :p...

This is why I hate paypal, such a pain
