Lloyds TSB Platinum Mastercard Accidental Damage Cover?

Does this card provide accidental damage cover on purchases?

Some independent websites suggest it offers up to £2.5k within 180 days... but I can't find anything to suggest this on the Lloyds website. :confused:
 
The Lloyds TSB Platinum card comes loaded with extra features and benefits in addition to the standard you come to expect with Lloyds credit cards. Your card automatically entitles you to receive free travel accident insurance when you use your card to purchase your tickets. You also automatically receive 180 days of free purchase protection on items that cost up to £2,500 against accidental damage or theft. In addition, you can receive interest free credit for up to 56 days when you make your payments on time and in full every statement.

Wasn't hard to find either.

I've phoned lloyds and they are saying that these websites are incorrect and they do not cover accidental damage. Which doesn't make sense as that's exactly what these independent sites are saying...

So who's right? I've only spoken to call centre chimps so far so don't particularly trust them.

I told him it says so on other websites but he said that this only covers damage upon delivery.... but that's not what that sentence is saying is it?! :mad:

TrUz - find that on the actual Lloyds TSB website and i'll be your BFF.
 
If it doesn't say it on their site, and the call centre says their site is correct, then I don't think I'd believe someone not affiliated with Lloyds.

It's possible that the card used to include the insurance, but now doesn't.
