Shouldn't the PSU description be a Coolermaster Extreme instead of a Corsair

It would if it was a Coolermaster Extreme.

It is a Corsair PSU designed specially for system builds. Same as the TX 650 with less wattage (obviously being 600W) and with a Blue LED fan (which can be toggled on/off)

Looks good I think you should add an option for 2 x 5770s though

They can't, that mobo doesn't do symmetrical (8x8) Xfire.

I must admit it would be nice to see more OCUK builds with better motherboards. It was definitely one of the factors that put me off going ready built. (Yeah I know you can ring them up and ask them to change it but still, it's just because mobos are the hardest component for consumers to understand - so companies think they can under spec them)

Not the case at all. Most customers do not want to pay an £30-£50 extra for the premium level motherboard as it gives them no extra gain.

-They don't take advantage of extra OC tools as we OC them.
- SLI and Xfire configurations are rare in pre-built systems in anything other than X58 boards.
- Improved chipset cooling of higher end models does not bother most customers and the standard cooling is fine.

We cater for all customers that is why we allow customers to change the spec and also why we offer higher end boards in our more expensive systems. Their is no point (for example) putting a Maximus 3 Extreme in a i5 based system which is aimed at mid level customers. Yeah the extra features are great but the extra £100 price tag warrants minimal gains for the customer. This is the reason why more "standard" boards are used.

Does this mean you've got the 95w chips in at last?

Sure is.

O RLY?

A £50 motherboard in a pre built that can cost £900 (with a modest SSD)? No USB3, no Sata III, no Xfire.

It isn't a rant at OCUK specifically, in fact they are one of the lesser offenders, but it is a slightly sly trick that companies ( the big boys in particular, like dell - who don't even divuldge what motherboard you're getting) to give the impression of value for money.

imo - cheap mobo = false economy
