Need to vent so what better place than here :P

Was on a good night out with my two mates dancing like normal when fight broke out right behind me pushing and shooving me with what they were doing so i turned around and thought i would try to seperate them (now now this was BAD idea!), bouncers came and kicked them both out.

I left about 5 minutes later to be confronted by one of the lads and his mate asking what i was doing, tryed to explain i was just trying to stop a fight and they headbutted me :(

6 stitches in lip and a tiny shiner on my eye, a first for everything i suppose! Feel well stupid but police where very helpfull in taking down statements from me and witnesses. arrested 2 males but seemed to be confusion to if they got the right lads, Part of me just wants to forget the whole thing and the other side of me wants to do whatever i can to teech them a lesson.

Off to the station now to get pictures taken on me, oh the fun :(

Ouch... fortunatly learnt that one from watching other peoples experiences rather than the hard way like you have :( - if you get involved with someone in any way on a night out - always expect them to be waiting outside.

Learn the clinch game bro, someone gets all up in your face, thai clinch - deliver some killer knees. Good times.

On a serious note I never both splitting them up as I normally end up getting involved.

Been kicked out before, for breaking up a fight. What was worse I told the guy that was getting beat up to get the **** out of there as the guys he was messing with have a rep around here and he didn't... ended up on the frontpage of the local news looking like his mother wouldn't recognise him.

Surprised in this day and age people still break up fights. If they want to duke it out, i leave them to it. I stand back, moving just far enough away so as not to come to harms way, but still being able to see the impact of the blows, and watch in amusement. If i'm drinking or have a snack to hand, this is a bonus.

Sorry to hear about this, but you did the right thing trying to stop the fight. If there were more people willing to help others the world would probably be a nicer place...London certainly would!!

I once stopped what I'd call an attack, not a fight. 3 blokes punching and kicking this one guy till he was on the floor. They carried on kicking, the bouncers did nothing. So I waded in trying to stop them. I got elbowed in the jaw so hard it split my tooth in two, and I ended up having to have root canal, and a fake tooth (luckily its at the back). However, if I hadn't of stopped it when I did I've little doubt that it would have been worse for the poor chap. I've no idea how he ended up, an ambulance was called etc, but I had his blood lightly peppered over my trousers and shirt, and I was standing behind one of the "attackers". All three of them got arrested.

Mate, good on you for trying to break up a fight, but honestly its really not worth it these days. You cant be too careful, you've got no idea who these guys are, what their carrying or who their with or how many. If its in a club, let bouncer chuck them out. Brave of you, but not worth it.

You were with 2 mates, didnt they stick up for you?

was about 100+ people outside and didnt know where they were at the time, plus none of us have been in a fight in our lives! all 25/26 so it was bound to happen at some point just unfortunatly me.

Thanks for replys, i feel well down about the whole thing. Police said they would ring me and let me know whats happening but i dont know if i could go through the whole process of court and things (im guessing thats what would happen?). But if i dont then they get away scott free and they shouldnt be able to!

Happened to my in bulgaria -
me and my mate were dancing on a bar with this german guy, all having a good laugh.
His friend below wasnt, sat his face tripping him!
Unfortunetly my friend was plastered, and decided to take the guys hat from below so he could dance with it. I of course took the had bad and apologised in broken german, and the german from on top of the bar told him to lighten up.
Que 5 minutes later and my mate takes the hat again! :@
I go to give him it back, but don't get the chance as hes jumped on to the bar intent on hitting my mate, who has got no chance standing drunk on a bar.
I decide to get between them, holding my mate back with one arm, the german with the other. Obviously the german just starts laying in to me, and i've now got no hands!
He stops and i go to retaliate but decide fighting on a bar isn't the best idea as someone (possibly me) would get seriously hurt, so the bouncers pop up and chuck him out.
7 days on holiday looking like a thug to all, for stopping my mate being knocked off a bar :(
he's on his own next time!
