Or if your prepared to spend a bit more for better go for the coolit c240 eco just read a review where it was put against a custom water loop and it was only 6 degrees behind it. Tis the one i will be getting now and i was going to get a H50/70 but not anymore .
I would like a custom water loop, but I have no experience with any water cooling techniques. With a rather large gap in the tutorials around the web showing the important steps such as connecting the tubes to the fittings securely and testing.
Plus, I am planning to sell my two 5970's in the future for Nvidia cards (ATI really take the biscuit on drivers), and do not want to void their warrenty.
So mixed verdicts on the two coolers. If the ECO will provide my i5 with the cooling required to break 4Ghz and remain stable 24/7 without having to add on fans as with the H50, I'm happy with the price.
I will be upgrading to an Intel Core i7 980X Extreme on the Asus Rampage III board in early next year. So the choice in cooler should have the capacity to handle this beast too.
