Spec me a Kite

I can't recommend an acrobatic kite as I am just into power kiting. What I can recommend is to check eBay, you can get some nice deals on very good condition second hand kites I have found.

Ok it was something more for teh kids and me , 13 year old and a 10 year old .

Can you explain power Kiting please.

^ as said above really.

Power Kites create traction, stunt kites just go round really fast.

^ if you can up your budget to £55, get this one.

I started on stunt kites, it was pretty fun to begin with, but you cant do much. A power kite can pull you, so when you get bored of jumping and skidding (yep:D), you can then add mountain boards or snowboards into the mix to keep it fresh. :) :)

perfect for 13 + 10 year old...and more importantly YOU! ;):)

I started with a stunt kite about 5 years ago. Foils are much more fun and the bigger the foil the scarier the kite. Sweeping a foil will generate a lot of pull, so much that I won't use my bigger kite in strong wind conditions. You can also hit your Mates with a foil and not do lasting damage :)

Since its for your kids how about a Flexifoil 10.5m :D I do enjoy being either dragged along or taken for a flight.

Seriously tho, for kids id say a 3m power kite should do the trick, maybe 4m, although not in high wind.

Toook your advice , in fact I went a little further and purchased the Bigg Buzz, just need some advice or direction on flying it now , any suggestions appreciated .

My mate used to have a Blade, forget which one now, but it was great fun. Used to end up being dragged along the complete length of the green. Fun times and good memories.

Had a few stunt kites of my own. I found the larger ones slightly more to my preference, having owned several sizes.

Blade II tbh :p

Used to go all over the place mainly north west with some mates who had these and ATB boards I've been dragged all over the place when i've refused to let go :) 16.5 stone and 6ft 2 ... Those Blade 2s are mighty powerful just glad it was mainly on beaches we used to go :D

Just as a head up Aldi have some small kites on sale as of thursday they have a "parachute" kite that looks like a foil I'm going to try and get one. It's £3.99 if its the size of a carrier bag it will still be fun.
