Umm im not sure if it is those, but on each speaker, theres a red and black wire, both of whihc connect to this pinching connector on the back of the stereo, one pair for the left and one for the right.
No, they are just the speaker connections. The stereo needs audio line in input, usually RCA, or phono as it's also known. It's not that common on cheaper stereo's. Without an audio input on the stereo, there's nothing you can do I'm afraid to connect it to the TV.
No cable will do though, if the stereo does not have an audio input. Smeeble had a good thought about the dock possibly being separate, something I didn't consider. With the dock being part of the stereo, there would need to be a separate input. Most consumer off the shelf stereo's don't have an audio input unless it has a separate device, minidisc player, turn table, iPod dock, etc.
