SILENCE!
This is going to be a bit of an odd thread. I was in the kebab shop last night getting some chow because I was back late and too tired to cook. I often go there around the same sort of time and the high street usually has the same sort of number of people around, a bit more busy at the weekend, and there's usually a handful of people in the kebab shop around that time too. Last night it was empty, so I just made small talk with the guy that it was very quiet.

"Yeah, it's Friday 13th. It's always dead on Friday 13th; go look at the high street" he said. Sure enough the high street was nearly empty as well.

I don't remember any sports, films or anything on tv worth staying in for last night. People don't actually think like that and go and hide on Friday 13th do they? :p

I wouldn't have made the link, the middle of august is always a pretty quiet time. Have noticed town getting distinctly quieter on a friday, but that's manchester city centre, may not be nationwide.

If you hadn’t have mentioned I wouldn’t have known it was the 13th yesterday.

Honest, didn’t notice the actual date and it was on the taskbar, on the wall calendar and in the paper. How very strange. :D

Pretty busy in town last night, but then again nothing is able to get inbetween an average Weegie and their booze!

Heh some guy was complaining he could here stuff inside his walls yesterday night and i kept telling him it was probably zombie children clawing their way out. Didnt realise it was friday the 13th, he must have been a little bit frightened ^^

The local MOT garage was unusually quiet yesterday (it's pretty much next to my work so I see how busy it is), but my car still passed. :D I did actually think at the time is it quiet because people don't want to risk it on Friday 13th.

Lol @ No1newts

My town is always busy on a Friday. All the ruffians are out getting drunk and fighting :D

Well I'll never trust friday the 13th again. I lost my backup folder of all my work for my dissertation three weeks before it's due.

I assumed my backup program wouldn't decide it'd be a great idea to delete my backup folder just because I formatted my memory key to install win7 on a laptop here.

I went out last night and did notice it wasn't as busy as it normally is

Wierd... the thought never really went through my mind :p
