Which car

Me and the family will be of on holiday to torbay soon, and my dad will be borrowing a car seeing as his car is not large enough to take all of our luggage.
His choice is either a 1.7 New Vauxhall astra Sri or a
Chevrolet cruze 2.0
Both cars are diesel. The car will be used for the 100 mile journey each way and the odd short trip around torbay. The cruze has the bigger boot but they both seem adequate. So which one is the best car for the job?

Both are generic diesel vehicles. Pick the one you like the interior of the best.

They are both based upon the same platform, so like Fox says - choose whichever one you're drawn to visually.

To bring conclusion to the thread we chose the 1.7 astra SRI, it's supposed to have "sports seats" lol, they are beyond a joke.

Don't care what car you invade our roads with, just make sure whoever is driving takes the time to look at the road signs and markings so they don't drive like an idiot.

I swear summer here is like driving in india some times.

Completely agree. I made the stupid choice of using the dual carriageway (A30 East bound) to get home this morning, number of complete prunes with caravans etc. one tried to run me off the road rather than let me out of a slip road. :mad:
