do you believe in heaven?

No. Thankfully I am not retarded/dellusional/easily led.

If god did not exist, then humans would have had to create him.

Belief in anything at all is all part of the human race.

Incidently, I don't know if there is a supreme being or not. With no evidence either way, who can actually say?

Hence 'belief' and not 'fact'.

This sounds to me very much like a modern apologists argument for why God casts people in to hell to suffer for eternity for relatively minor things. Sort of trying to twist Christianity to allow God to fit in better with a modern morality.

Perhaps it does. However, I came to my own conclusions deciding that the Bible does not teach the very simplistic versions of heaven and Hell that most people think of. It was only later that I discovered that's essentially what the Orthodox churches have been teaching for a couple of millennia. See here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_in_Christian_beliefs?wasRedirected=true. See section on Eastern Christianity.

Yes I believe in heaven, but I don't believe anyone will reach there by account of their actions alone, it will be by the mercy of God. There are things there which no human eye has seen and no human mind can imagine, therefore it is pointless trying to think what it would be like because we are limited in our knowledge.

I believe the One that gave us life the first time, has the ability to give us life once again and will bring every soul to account for their deeds.

"And God sends down water from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless: in this, behold, there is a message indeed for people who are willing to listen. -Quran

I don't believe that human beings are the same as any other animal, and that when we die that's the end, and it's not out of any sort of fear or anything. My mind simply won't allow me to believe that this magnificent planet/galaxy/universe came into being by itself. It has a clear design and there is order not random chaos, and imo there has to be a Creator far above anything imaginable.

This life is nothing but a test, the real life is the next one.

You do know that it's proven science that life can be created by natural phenomon's that happen in our planet?

Oh, and the Universe is definitely not in perfect order... Infact, the universe is very much unpredictable...

How do you explain this natural phenomenon though? When I say I believe in a God who created life, the stars, the galaxies etc I mean by a process which in itself is amazing.

Definately unpredictable for us, as we know/understand very little about the universe yet. It's too mind boggling even thinking about the sheer size of it in comparison to us. Yet some people still remain convinced it came into existance by random chance and there is no Divine Being behind its creation, who is far greater.

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe that God is a human being or someone sat in the clouds or anything of the sort. I believe God is an All Powerful, All Seeing, All Hearing entity far above everything else in existance because everything was created, God wasnt.

So to summarise:

Religionists believe that in the beginning there was nothing, and God created everything.

Athiest believe that in the beginning there was nothing, and that nothing exploded to make everything.

:p

I believe in afterlife but not specifically heaven. I believe there is a place where the Christian God and his angels are but I don't believe us mortals get to go there lol

Interesting. :) So do you believe that mere mortals simply aren't good enough to be granted admission, or that we're just not spiritually evolved enough or otherwise capable of going there yet?

I think life will most probably be just like it was before you were born, a load of nothingness. Not exactly a bad place to be as we won't know any different!

I believe that we just arn't granted admission as we arn't a high enough life form. Perhaps we might be given missions to gain angel status and be admitted to heaven but only if we have been outstanding in life. I am pretty sure God doesn't like a lot of the **** thats done in his name though and probably focus' on really good people rather than really religious people (as they don't automatically mean good)

How much do we have to pay for a VIP pass to get into "Heaven"? :(

I sure do hope there's lots of fit women, because I would really rather not live for an eternity if that was the case :D

I'd agree with your closing statement for sure. I'm not sure about the rest of it though, as you seem to be referring to the Abrahamic God, who created humans in his own image. How then would they be deemed unworthy of admission to his own dwelling place/kingdom/realm? Why create billions of beings just so that they can be away from you?

Serious questions, I'm not taking the pee I'd just like to hear more about your thoughts.

Why do people have to believe in an afterlife. We are just a big bunch of cells that after millions of years developed self awareness and intelligence. You were not aware of anything before your birth and the same will be after death.
