Guise, at the end of August I need to give up work due to health (failing lungs waiting for double lung transplant)

So as you can imagine I would be pretty much housebound untill i get a transplant, so I am going to need a list of things to do during the day.

Please can you guys help me out, and try not to be sarcastic about it.. obviously I can invest in some things (dont say instruments like a flute or saxaphone as those require good lungs lol) but I am not much of a musician so prefer it not to be that.

I like to construct stuff, I like to draw.. fortunately final fantasy xiv is coming out soon so that should keep me amused for some time.

I am open to your suggestions and really appreciate anything you can add :-)

Thanks (no sympathy vote with the health thing, just explaining the situation)

TV, lots of good TV series.
Battlestar Galactica
Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles
Firefly + Serenity
Futurama
Big Bang Theory

Learn the piano, violin or Guitar depending on what music you like.

Photography is not a bad shout, are you still able to go for longish walks?

Go for a run?

that didnt take long for a stupid reply did it !

good old gd never fails to amaze me to how stupid some people can be.

op...take up photography and go for still life.

hope the op goes ok and you feel better soon.

sorry, longish walks and runs are out of the question... even slow walking is practically out of the question :)

photography can be an expensive hobby though.

Thanks for the decent replies :)

How long will you be waiting for the transplant?

Do you have a certain amount of money you would be willing to spend on a new hobby to keep you occupied?

Photography is a good idea, you could also start 3D modelling, design work, photoshop, programming that sort of thing if it interests you. Seen as you like drawing.

Some kind of mmo, they seem the take hours of my time lol.

You could try and teach yourself something. I would suggest computer programming for a couple if of resons: lots resources out on the web, a large subject area so you can chose something that you would be interested in, can be done for free, increases your skill set for when you get back to work and you can also make stuff and sell it on once you get good at it.

I toyed with the idea of learning photoshop for web design, but it just seems there are so many people doing it and hardly any demand.

Also programming crossed my mind, but so many different languages I wouldn't know where to begin.
