Your favourite German Christmas market?

Manchester's is brilliant, beer tent with a great atmosphere and live Oom-pah music!

One of the major differences between the Brit and German versions is the quality of the wimmin-folk on display!

Here it's tracksuits and Croydon facelifts.

There it's wholesome ladies with blonde hair and huge bewbs.

All a myth I'm afraid, they have their fair share of mingers as well! Plus at the Christmas markets everyone is normally all wrapped up so no bewbs on show. ;)

Born in Hannover and lived in Munchen for five years...the above is my experience ;). At least that's how I like to remember it, maybe I'm looking through misty eyes!

Small world - I lived in Munich for 5 years too - when were you there? 99-2004 for me. :)

i went to the cologne christmas market about 10 years ago. i thought it was very good.
just make a weekend out of it.

I've been to Cologne twice, Frankfurt twice, Koblenz, Bernkastel, Aachen & Trier. Out of all of them I would say Bernkastel because of the setting & it was quiet. Trier is good also because its quieter than the other city markets because the world & his dog go to the others in the run up to xmas (especially at weekends) The one I want to go to out of the rest of the german markets is Nuremberg, but its one of the busiest & you'd feel like a tinned sardine while you are there. :(

I thought the Berlin markets were pretty pants tbh, there were loads but they were all carbon copies of each other selling exactly the same tat.

London one is actually ok, although last year it was a little small. soo depends on how fr you have to travel for how worth it, it is.

stuttgart is nice one, if you want a bigger one then munich ;) another one that is very nice is Strasbourg; although on the other side of the Rhine

I was meant to go last year but didn't make it in the end. Numerous friends said it was amazing and worth it as a day out/night out. Should be a few pictures around on Google. :)

We'll go together. \o/

went last year with the GF, was quite fun but most of it is the same old same old
group of you going could be good too!
