26 - 28 inch TV/Monitor

Hi guys

Looking at getting a bigger screen than my HP 22 incher. I do however want a monitor that can double up as a HDTV, mainly for plugging in a Wii or PS3.

Any recommendations?

Must haves:
1080P
Scart and or Component and HDMI inputs
26-28 inches

Would be grateful for any insight

Well, i didnt want to be spending too much more than £300.

If you have a look around, the 32in LG 32LH3000 is costs around £350 and is an absolutely cracking deal.

It is 1080p, LCD, 2x HDMI, 1x Scart, 1x Component and from what I read a pretty great TV for the price.

That does look good but i am unfortunately limited by the size of where i have to put it in my bedroom. Even 28 inch might be pushing it a little!

Ah, in that case you may want to have a look for the LG M2762D.

Yeh i have been looking at that one. I can't find my reviews of it though.

I am coming from a HP 2207 so i think the contrast ratio and Response times are similar.

i have been looking at the Samsung p2770hd which has a 2ms response time but i am not sure whether that is worth paying the £50/£60 more in price.

Another one is the asus VW226h although that is less feature packed than the others in terms of inputs

I wouldn't suggest comparing TVs or monitors based on contrast ratio or response time (they really don't tell you much). Your instinct to look for reviews first is absolutely right.

Unfortunately, for TVs in this price range/size there isn't many reviews other than user reviews (which you always have to take with a strong pinch of salt). Your best bet may be to post on this forum (or AVforums) and ask for any expert opinions.
