Hi guys im quite paranoid of what temps my system should be running at when overclocked.

what are decent idle and load temps that i should keep in the band of when im over clocking?

also i read that dropping the vcore a bit when overclocking can drop temps quite a bit, is this true? also what vcore band should i stay in-between, i am worried that i may give my cpu to much or to little vcore and it will damage it.

i have an i5 750 with a gigabyte p55a-ud4, i am also using the corsair h50 cooler.

As far as I know it's 1.4v. And temp wise, it depends. Some chips run cooler than others. As for a minimum, there isn't really one. As long as the chip is stable, the lower the vcore the better.

What's your vcore and chip speed now? Temps depend on how dangerously you like to live, and how comfortable you are with the temps. I like to keep my i7 920 below 70 degrees at load, but only because any hotter, and my room becomes unbearable.

You should be perfectly safe upto 80-85 degrees - just remember 100 degrees is the maximum, and at this point you run the risk of damaging your chip, and thermal throttling. 35-40 degrees idle would be about right I reckon, maybe a bit more in the hot weather.

Hope this helps :)
