Is anyone else getting calls from the following number asking you to call them about something called KPR?

Number is: 0845 6012468?

The call is always some automated woman and then straight afterwards I get a sms text telling me to call the same number. Really annoying. Pretty sure it's a scam. In fact I'm postitive it is as I'm not even with Nationwide for my banking.

My mobile number is with Vodafone if that makes any difference.

I had something similar with a firm claiming to represent Citibank, they would call me 6 or 7 times a day, if I answered it was either an automated message asking me to call back, or occasionally a real life person. I started off politely, informing them that I wasnt the person they were looking for, and that I'd never had anything to do with Citibank, but this went on for weeks. Vodafone were as helpful as a chocolate teapot in the matter, and it took a hell of a lot of enraged swearing and several more weeks to get them to leave me alone.

Why do you think it is Nationwide?

Because the automated woman says "This is Nationwide"

I'm not even with Nationwide. The thick *****!

Also I know it's not REALLY Nationwide. It's some lameo's sat in a tiny office with outdated PC's and old corded phones, covering each other in caramel and rubbing each other off whilst letting their automated bot machine spam theior victims.

haha i love that

I keep having a text, some automated one saying that I have had a accident (when o_O ) and I was in for like 5k ...i was like how can I when I have not even hit a tree recently...

than I had some out of the blue phone call one house phone....stating the same I was like errrr....... lol

I get called by "Nationwide Surveys" 2 or 3 times a day. Nothing to do with "Nationwide".

No one can do anything to stop the call as it's for a survey, not selling things. Only, they are blatantly selling my information on if I answer their questions (had an accident in past x months, happy with my bank, etc).

Driving me insane.

just tell them lies if that happened, had that before as well dunno who the hell they was...I m sure we told BT to keep our number of the dir

I think I tracked it down to the post office... The second they got my number, I've been getting spam mail and phone calls, despite TPS, and me ticking "**** off" on the boxes.

On my Hero i can choose to send certain callers straight to voicemail. Try adding them and see what options you get, won't stop the texts though

Sounds like you're on an outbound dialler for a collections company acting on behalf of the Nationwide.

How long have you had that number as it's probably the case where they have it on file from about 4 years ago and just got round to chasing it the original person who had the debt.

I had it on on Sunday evening at 20:50 and I just said 'It's nearly ******* 9 0'clock on a Sunday' and she just said 'I know it's Sunday but .....', I hung up.
