GTX 470 or 5870?

hey guys, so was all set to order a new build then thought id take a look at the gfx section fast and ive noticed how everyones saying that the 5870 isnt worth the money! so im thinking of trying to save some money (always a good thing)

so should i stick to the 5870 or shall i get a gtx 470 (or 465/460)?

is there a huge difference in performance? will be gaming/viewing on 1900x1200 screen!

If you want to save money and get good performance, then you wont go wrong with a GTX 460.

what about dual 460's if you have an SLI mobo and 750w psu

also get some more memory and a better cpu

and it was the 5870 but yeah im not sure ! is the performance gain from a 5870 worth the extra money?

5850v 470 thats a question,

5870 v 470 is obvious, 5870 is much faster.

Given my experience with 5870's I would now opt for a 470/465/460 solution not happy with the way ATI manage things particularly drivers!

Sli all the way not had one problem with my 470's they clock 850 on the core and 2000 on the mem no problem

had a 5870 rma replacement for a 4870 x2 but just found the 470 gave me better results in games and in sli they fly

if the 470 where at the silly prices they where at when released i'd have not bothered but they where so cheap i had to get 2 might even go tri sli when i buy my chiller unit for my wc setup

and now the 460's are out you be silly not to buy 2 and sli as they clock better than my 470
and at a bargin price as well
