Any of you guys have a nemesis at work?

Sort of. I like him but he doesn't listen, often does half a job and sucks up to management. He is a Special Constable as well. :)

Unlike the other guy who is just plain rubbish. Nobodys nemesis though...

No nemesis as yet, but I've only been there 3 months.

There is one girl who sniffs all the time and has a really distinctive laugh, but she's fit so I'll let her off.

I've started to get some kind've 'nemesis' at work for lack of a better word, the person really rubs me up the wrong way. Just really gets on my nerves, comes across as extremely arrogant and believes themselves to be really funny.

Does. My. Nut.

Any of you chaps have someone that really gets to you at work, or am I all alone? :(

Do you work with me? :p

Theres a girl in the office who is like stick thin, and shes forever going on about how fat she is, she even bought some of those "tummy flattener" pants so she could cover up her (non existent) wobbly bits. She keeps going on about needing to lose weight, and being that I am not stick thin it drives me nuts because not only does she have nothing to worry about, but also because I cant help but think if she thinks shes fat then I must be bloody massive (and i'm not) and shes secretly having a pop at me.
Just tell her she is fat so you no longer will have to put up with her anymore.

Anorexia?

How ironic; I found out last night that I have a 'nemesis' at work. Someone I had never met before but apparently conversed with via interdepartmental email where I had appeared arrogant and a know it all. Anyway he accosted me in a bar and offered to correct my attitude there and then. I just laughed and asked him to repeat what he said in front of the doorstaff. He then promptly got dragged out kicking and screaming and told to go home by the police or spend a night in a cell.

Looking back I am disappointed that I didn't catch his name so I could talk to his manager about his lack of social graces.

I have a few at my place but ive cottoned on to my Bosses strategy.

He likes to throw a few scorpions into the box to see if one will gobble up the rest. If one does start gobbling upthe rest then theyre deemed a threat and disposed of accordingly.

In a job a few years back I had to work with a guy in his mid 40s who was amazingly obnoxious. To get your attention, instead of using your name like every other normal member of society, he'd click his fingers at you...

Needless to say, after getting to the point where if he did it again I threatened to break his hand, he mellowed a bit :)

My managers advice at the time was "hes a ****, so just ignore the ****" lol

I work at weekends so I don't have to experience her full time but there is a woman in her mid 20s who has a mental age of about 7 who drives me utterly bonkers. She constantly tries to set me up with any young female that walks in the store. FFF

Can I have her phone number ? :D

I haven't done since I've lived in Bristol for some reason. I used to get a lot of that in my old small town. Same place where everyone is everyones cousin

Ever seen phineas and ferb?

No one I work with or work for could be considered a nemesis, but there is one particular person at one particular client that I really, really dislike. I don't have to interact with them very often luckily, but dread the days I need to!

She isn't nasty, but she is terribly rude sometimes [read: most of the time!]. She treats every little request like the fate of humanity hangs in the balance - meaning I have to drop everything I am doing and rush to go help her or get moaned at. I wouldn't mind so much but I swear she holds back problems/requests just so she can moan later on in the day!

i worked in a tight environment and when i first started there was a guy who was my immediate superior that was rubbish at his job beyond belief, i basically knew more than him and he had been doing it 2 years and i was fresh out of "boot camp"

so I ended up doing what i had to do + 75% of his workload too. I had to work with him for 3 weeks 12h a day.... then another sting for 3 weeks a few months later... Because i was new to the company i didn't want to upset anyone so i shut up and got on with it.

I wanted to murder him, dreaming about it was one of the only things that kept me going :p

So you rant about it on a computer hardware forum?

Be a man and call him out?
