beckii cruel

but does no one else get more then a little peeved that people like this get air time (same thing with big brother really but at least then you get to see a little bit about how people work)
and i spose ive now become a part of it now... showing everyone here
but yeah it just takes time away from real artists

There are very few real artists left these days, and again its culture and technology to blame all rolled into one.

A money making company who signs artists is not going to care about joe blogs who writes his own songs and sings well when he is a fat and ugly toad with no screen/sales potential.

Most people wont want to watch the above on TV etc. They would rather have "ascetically pleasing" average singing artists who dance about on stage.

The record companies recognise this and sign accordingly.

Its just the way the industry works

i cant get that link to work... but having just watched something of hers im assuming youre taking the ****!
also that could have been a documentary about i dunno clive carrol or they could have rammed 40 ugly people in who can sing awesomly and play proper music! :D
i met a woman in a restaurant once with the most amazing voice ever... but she was illiterate, very wierd combination

Could somebody please explain what this was actually called?

As the OP just went off on one about 'the documentary last night' without really putting together coherently what he was actually even talking about!

Shes no different to half the other dozen girls her age who are fans of anime/japanese culture. It's pretty common for the girls to imitate the dances they see etc. The difference is, she got lucky with people noticing her on youtube obviously.

There will be a dozen more where she came from. She's no different to someone like Miley Cyrus in the west, and of course this stuff is common in Japan. Internet sensation = cash cow. Hell you get people doing this stuff in the street in Akihabara in Japan in the hopes of getting spotted by someone.

She's famous for doing covers for Japanese Songs.

The dances she does isn't her choreography, she is copying the actual dance moves (Anime Version I believe...)

And her fame is more in Japan. Not so much England.

She will not get anywhere outside of Japan and it will be interesting to see how big her following will be there after a few years when she's no longer a young schoolgirl.
