beckii cruel

No HD?
You can post the name surely....

Fail.

Anyway, a lot of anime story plot, characters and presentation exceeds anything coming out of Hollywood. Just much more fulfilling to watch but some people don't like subs.....

I've always wanted to go and travel around japan, it just seems like such a wacky and fun country

Japan is always portrayed as wacky and fun on the internet, but in reality its a very normal place, for example, the general public really dislike Otakus and dont obsess over anime or ever barely even talk about it :)

Used panties from the used panty vending machine :p

You could live in Japan quite easily as they have cubcle hotels you pay a few quid a night for where you get a internet enabled PC, meals etc but it's the size of a cupboard if that's your thing :p

People who live there stay like this all the time I found out for any number of reasons from losing their job to just generally being homeless or whatever.

Crazy stuff!

How long you been living in Japan - ex pat or national?

It's about being SUPER CUTE KAWAII!!!

this is true, in western culture its hard to understand the Japanese view of KAWAII (cute). For Japanese, cute does not necessarily have a sexual meaning, or it isnt supposed to be sexually provocative. For example, a lot of school girls have really short skirts in Japan but it is not necessarily to be 'sexy' its about being 'cute'. In the west we would perhaps see it as 'sexy' to be like that, but girls in japan do it to be 'cute'.

in short, perhaps 'cute' in Japan has a more innocent 'lovely' meaning, with less emphasis on sex. where as in the west we immediately link it with a sexual meaning.

just my thoughts, its a difficult one to explain.

That's still definitely apparent in Western Culture. A cute baby, or pet for example. This does not immediately translate to "sexy". However western culture has perverted the general meaning of the word, I agree. If someone hears someone else say someone is cute, they will immediately think that the person wants to knock boots with them.

btw, dont get me wrong Redeye, Japan is a great country to visit, i thoroughly recommend it! Its just not as wacky and crazy as its portrayed on the internet :P

You will get the odd nutter wherever you go sadly.

"The ages of those killed in the spree – a 21-year-old woman and men aged 19, 20, 29, 33, 47 and 74 – attests to the very wide popularity of Akihabara"

Really? I'm sure I could go into any shopping center in the UK and find people with such a ludicrous diversity of age...
