can anyone recommend a good mid-range IPS Monitor, iv had a look at the dell ultra-sharp series and they do look nice however 350-400 price tag for the u2410 is a tad hefty for my budget

The ZR24w is a no-go considering the price (and frankly I'd go for the U2410 depending on usage). Everything considered I think the U2311H is the perfect choice - infact I just nominated it 'monitor of the month' on my website.

PCM2 I just read your article you link to above. I agree it ticks a lot of boxes for it's price point but how can you have a 'monitor of the month'? I don't think good monitors (deserving of such an award) are release at such a rate.

Very correct. As I said in the post "Basically we pick a recently launched monitor (not necessarily launched this month, but in the past few months) that offers something exceptional – that little bit extra." So it doesn't have to have been launched this month (and the Dell U2311H was launched in June, for example). I just found the title more catchy than 'monitor of the last few months this month'. ;)

Also in that link that was posted comparing the 2209WA to the 2311H it states that the 2209WA has an 'S-IPS' panel when infact it has an 'E-IPS' panel (or at least, the new revisions do). Not a massive detail, but I'm not sure sure why you'd want a 2209WA over a 2311H - having briefly used both screens and having read a lot about them I'd opt for the 2211H instead if you needed a 22 incher.
