Dragon Age II Announced

I love Mass Effect (just started from the beginning of ME1 to play both with a different character) but I just didn't get into DA. A friend said to me it takes longer to get good, so I will give it a proper go at some point, it just didn't grab me at all.

I found the voice acting really grating too.

Yeah it's much more interesting once you've got a few abilities, some better items, more party members etc. At the start you look ridiculous and are just using 1 or 2 spells and it's pretty boring.
 
I'm looking forward to this as I really enjoyed the first one. I've enjoyed every bioware game I have played though from baldur's gate onwards. I'm not too sure about the new art style, the darkspawn look odd.

I think I got about four hours into it, possibly a bit more. As in saved time. I just... I dunno. I wasn't feeling it. But with Mass Effect I was bang into it straight away, I expected the same of Dragon Age.

I've got a couple of games on the go at the moment, once they're done I'll start afresh and plough into it properly.
 
Could I be more excited? No, no I couldn't.

edit: they're saying mages were OP, but I think dual wielding warriors / rogues were just ridonculous, mages' damage against single targets wasn't that great?

Hmm... all my Warriors are set up to wield one massive weapon. I must be playing it completely to a disadvantage. :p
 
just re-playing it through as a mage on normal, very difficult and still on normal mode but looks great with about 2 gigs of texture/mesh mods :)
 
I love dragon age but was so dissapointed by what I've read. Getting rid of both the starting stories (thought it was the best feature in the game) and the option to be other races just ruined it for me. I played the entire game as a dwarf and wanted to pay this one like that too but I can't carry on my character or even mimic his looks and appearance to pretend it's him.
