Gatwick Aiport Parking?

Why not

I drive all the time and dont suffer much from Jetlag!

You are going to spend an entire day in Turkey, then get onto a 5 hour flight getting into the UK at 3am, then by the time you clear the airport its 4am, then you are going to jump straight in the car and drive home?

Get a 5am train.

Dont is all I can say, loads of cowboys doing meet and greet round here, the cars get parked all over the place in residential areas, at least two court cases recently and one of the guys that works for me still helps out moving cars from fields and hotels, they literally jam them into spaces an then push back and forth with bumpers to get them out again.
The only way i'd do it is one of the ones you park your car and then take the keys away but better still get the train into gatwick.

Heres one from the end of last year :D

Couple of months back I flew to USA from Gatwick, flight was at 11am and im a 2 hour drive away. We drove down the night before and stayed at the Gatwick Hilton over night, they do a few different deals on their website. We got the night and 14/5 days parking in the long term carpark for about £120 I think it was. This then eliminates getting up and stupid'o'clock, worrying about traffic in the morning / car breaking down etc. So we got to the hilton about 8pm, checked in, put bags in the room, they give you a voucher for the parking which you keep safe. Then drive round the corner to long term, take a ticket, park car where you like, put keys in pocket and get a bus back to the hotel. Whats nice about the Hilton is its actually joined to the hotel via a covered walkway so even if its raining you dont need a coat. When returning all you need to do is get a bus to the long term, find your car and drive to the exit where you hand in the ticket you got when you entered the car park along with your voucher and they let you out.

I'm trying to figure this out too. Heading to Canada in about two weeks, train looks like an almighty hassle (and will be rammed in the morning), but £100 for parking seems extortionate and although my car is nothing special, I'm now a bit scared about leaving keys with anyone.

Dammit hell, why couldn't I just get a flight from Heathrow...

Best thing for airport parking is dont drive and jump on the national express, BY FAR THE EASIEST, got a return from north wales to london heathrow for £27 all in and dropped off right at the terminal gates, cant say much better than that.

I don't bother with the valet parking, just book myself into the long term car park. Works well enough really. Just don't forget where you parked your car!!

I work at Purple Parking, an airport park and fly company and can recommend them whole heartedly. All these horror stories, though no stories of resolutions; plus not all park and fly companies are the same.
Purple parking has been trading for sixteen years now.

You're going to say that thought aren't you LoL :D

I have used PP at Heathrow a couple of times with no issues but I do get 50% off through work and I don't use my car when I park there :p

I used PP meet & greet at Heathrow and it was a good price and i'd recommend. Only down side is it was more like wait and greet on the way back.

Last time I was at Gatwick I used the valet service which was convenient, but by the time you sort all the paper work out it doesnt really save much time.

Apparantly you can get good deals on short stay if you book in advance

I normally park at a guest house around the corner for about £6 per day and if you leave / arrive during normal hours they drop you off and pick you too.

Last time tho I had to use the same car park as my father-in-law and we used BCP.
Its technically offsite but it's just outside the boundary fence and your vehicle stays inside their compound. Bus ride every 20 mins or so to and from the terminals or a meet and greet service is available. Only used them once (as did the f-i-l) and we both gave them a thumbs up.

I work for Fox Parking, who are just about to offer an airport parking service and I can recommend them wholeheartedly as well.

Fox parking, can you beat my purple parking quote for 14 days parking at Heathrow for £34.94 ? :p

Do your buses have fox skin seats? this might be worth a little more.
