well... as a 16 year old awaiting his first major exam results, I started to wonder whether anybody else is as scared as I am about failing them. Not failing all of them, just some of the important ones, like English, maths or science.

I am really worried about English, Geography and history. These are all subjects that I enjoyed whilst i was doing them, but I was never that good at Geography and my English is terrible because Im dislexic.

Good luck too all on this forum who are awaiting any exam results, and I hope you do well! :)

If you enjoyed them, you're more than likely to do well too. It's perfectly normal to be nervous or worried about failing; everyone's exactly the same. I'm sure you'll be fine and dandy.

Good luck.

You'll back at them in a few years and laugh at how worried you were over them and how insignificant they are in the grand scheme of your education process.

Unless you have your future set on doing a course such as Medicine then I'd be worried as great emphasis is placed on GCSE grades.

I'm currently waiting for mine too. Fairly confident I passed all the important ones, just hope for a few A's and B's in the midst of them all! Good luck

I agree! Standard Grades seem very easy when I think back however at the time I found them difficult.

DUDE WTF?!?!?! This will not do

There's still a week to go. You don't have to think about them now. I'm not!
Relax, we'll make an official results thread on the day :)

If I get 12A*s I get a new pc!! :D

Just make sure you don't watch BBC news in the morning or during the night. They go on and on about the grades and visit schools etc. I couldn't get any sleep the night before :p

haha thanks soo much guys! i guess the people here make this forum the best! oh and deadbeat, thanks for fixing that :)

God I wish I was waiting for GCSE results rather than life changing A level ones :(

Good luck!

Yeah, I can remember waiting for my GCSE ones, stayed up till about 3 or 4 in the morning on BF2. Then woke up at 10 to go and get them - to look on the internet to find I acutally passed RE.

Currently worried about AS level, can't imagine what its like for A Levels.

This is a big problem, especially if your mum or dad watch the news a lot.:(

I can imagine them saying 24 hours from now, those lot got A's why couldn't you and going on about stuff.

Same boat, don't worry I think we can do retakes next year, as long as you do well in 2 of the 4 subjects, or however many you are doing.

Me and my mates dealt with it by going out and getting drunk the night before got plenty of sleep after that until one of my other mates txt me at 5 in the morning telling me he had got conformation through ucas and mine never came through for another 2 hours of fully ****ting my self with a banging headache. :D
