Evening late night GD residents.

I live in a small, quiet and usually friendly town called Haverfordwest and have done from birth. Ever since I can remember, the place has been a haven for families, holiday makers or retired couples because of the safety it offers. Crime rates are super low and the county, in my opinion is quite effectively policed. I have decided to stay in the area, whilst a lot of my friends have found work up the line, for the reason that I really do love the area and it caters well to my key interest, Boats.

Recently though the town has taken a massive downward turn. In the past year or two I have notice a trend of people thinking a Saturday night is an excuse to flex your roid induced muscles, pick a fight or take advantage of drunk women. Also, there have been two incidents where bouncers have been "heavy handed" resulting in fatalities to third parties, a solider was killed with a samurai sword in an unprovoked attack and the number of alcohol induced fatal accidents have increase a stupid amount.

I get home this evening to find police cars and ambulances scattered on my street. I ask one of the police officers, what was going on, only to be informed that a man was murdered in another unprovoked attack. The poor man was stabbed 6 times and to this second, no suspect or weapons have been found.

Now I sit here this evening, thinking to myself. What on earth is happening to this world we live in...

i too was brought up in a small town, some of the things i hear that happen on a friday and saturday night now in terms of drunken violence are quite shocking. never used to happen like it does now. i blame teens and the ''i can take on the world an i'm angry at it'' attitude

Sounds like horror movie plot twist potential...

Killed by a samurai sword? Damn. Do you live in Feudal Japan?

We all look at the past with rose tinted glasses. Fact is, there has never been a time where everything was perfect. When we're younger we're just ignorant of the bad things.

I'm afraid not.

The victim was a soldier, apparently a real nice guy just back from serving in Afghanistan.

Some Turks tried it on with his girlfriend ended up getting kicked out and went home to collect a samurai sword. They waited 3 hours for him to come out and attacked him just a few meters from the club.

It is sad.

It seems more and more people are adopting the platium87 approach to life. Except they really mean it and aren't just pretending on the internet.

Except i dont do any of those things, and i dont fight unless provoked. Which i try to avoid in the first place.

Its hard to rage when i consider there is no difference between bacteria and annoying people..

Its hard to be angry at bacteria isnt it?

Are you trying to be clever? My lights just dimmed a bit as you posted, you didn't tap in to the power grid to come up with that did you?

went out today in the sun. rode across some lovely countryside with great views . bumped into a few friendly people on the way back.

It was an excellent reminder of the world we live in...

As the saying goes... It always gets worse before it gets better.

We really need to remind these kiddies that they are accountable for their own actions and cannot get away with everything they do... I honestly think the country has gone too soft on the kids...
