On the crash video you can hear a tyre pop an instant before the rest of the crash...
Can someone summarise for those of us who missed it?

Agreed. The thought of people trying to justify it with the "Well, if he was going to speed limit he'd be okay" excuse physically makes me sick.
I'd think he'd rather die doing what he likes to do by some nasty disease or so. Not implying he wanted to die, but if he had a choice to die, he'd rather die doing what he liked I think. Of course it's not worthwhile I think, but he may have thought differently. He knew the risks of doing 100+ mph in that place. Are you for real? You honestly think he wouldn't have minded dying...for that?
I've no idea what he was driving, but you think anyone would be willing to give their life to drive some sort of chavved up ford around the streets? It's one thing if we were talking about a forumla 1 driver who died in Monaco, but this? You seriously think he'd be happy to make the ultimate sacrifice for......well, for what? Whats he achieved? What 'glory' makes the pain and suffering of his family worthwhile?
I don't do these things, I said I would watch others doing it if I saw it happening, I don't want to risk it myself, but would highly enjoy watching it.The very problem with the people who do these things, yourself included I fear, is that they think they are invincible. I've been there and it took a nasty accident to calm me down so i understand this feeling of invincibility. I very much doubt he set out that night with a realistic appreciation of the consequences of his actions.
