My first day of work today..

How long you been out of work?

Good to see someone who has got back into the working world. If only there were more jobless people trying hard to get work the UK ecomony would be better.

Lol forgot about this thread. Its at an esso garage. Pays the bills so i cant really complain to much. I cant imagine its going to be busy in the dead of the night.

There's 1 or 2 ESSO's in dodgy areas around Stoke. Then again, I suppose most places can be scary at night.

Over a year so i was very very happy to get this after the countless interviews and rejections ive had.

Its the one at the bottom of anchor road. The doors locked all night so not to bad really

Holy thread revival

Well almost 3 months on and im loving the job, and theyre obviously impressed with me as they gave me a £120 bonus last month. Best of all im getting a pay rise already

I spent the bonus very wisely. On a GFX card :)

Good for you dude.
About 7 months into my job (after 8 months of being out a work) and i'm set to quit at the end of the month unless they can manage to swing me a month off so i can actually go and earn myself some real money. I've nothing but hate for the company i work for and the way the manager runs the place. Although, i have just had a lengthy discussion with the second in command and am feeling slightly hopeful it wont come to me having to quit but at the same time, unless something serious is done i will anyway as will others.

Well as an update i officially sign for a promotion tomorrow along with payrise :D

Turns out the £120 bonus comes every month except last month it went up to £150. Last months went on a GTX460 :D

The tax refund never came but at least im on the correct tax code now :)

Must say i feel so much better in myself for working :D
