Hi all

Trying to fit my iXtreme into a new case as it's overheating and the standard case is pretty terrible.

I'm trying to get a diagram of the motherboard so I know which pins are for what but I can't find one. The motherboard is a FMCP7AM, a Packard Bell one.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Well if you take a picture then we can tell you...i doubt there will be a diagram because its OEM....why did you buy one in the first place :p

I'm guessing you mean the connectors for the front panel.

They are usually labled in tiny letters on the side of the connector. Disconnect one and have a look at it. If they're labled cut the cables instead of disconnecting (just the front panel ones, not the PSU or data cables), you should then be able to document them easily and compare them to the connectors on the new case once you've removed them motherboard from the case.

All of the cables are bundled together in the current case, even the power, led ones etc seem to be.

Here's a picture, sorry about the quality, it's off my phone, can't find my camera atm.

The main problem are the power buttons ones really...

pull the connector off the motherboard, and if you look next to the pins on the motherboard there should be very small lettering indicating what each pair of pins is for.

sorry for the massive bump, but i see you have (or at least had) the same case as a mate of mine. can you tell me how long a graphics card can be fitted into the iXtreme case please

I can't seem to find anything on the website, as I don't know the exact model, but have you tried using a tape measure to go from the PCI panel to the 3.5 inch bays?

I used to have a 5770 in one and it fit without issue. Was the asus 'cu cure' non reference version. Think that was about 9 inches. Seem to remember there was a bit of leeway. Can't recall exactly.

Btw, even a card like the 5770 should not be run off a PB stock psu. On mine the oem psu was lower wattage than the recommendation for the oem gt220 that came with it. If it's still still got the stock one, a decent 450+w one will be in order.
