Gothenburg - any live/been there?

lol, why did I read this thinking Gotham city

Thats not safe, always stuff happening there :\

P.S Sweden = hot hot women

Yeah, but try getting the Scottish government to pay your fees if you came up to Scotland :D

As far as I understand it, there are no fees at all for EU members...

EDIT:

http://www.studyinsweden.se/Home/News-archive/2010/Tuition-fees-from-2011/

The Swede's introduced fees for non-EU students for this year, but I am a european so it's all free!!!!

Just need to calculate living expenses compared to driving to UEA in Norwich and still living with me Mummy and Daddy at 27 :/

- Why don’t students from EU countries have to pay fees?

Higher education in Sweden is funded by taxes and is therefore free for Swedish citizens. As a member of the European Union, the rules for Swedes also apply to citizens of other EU countries.

Seems like I haven't read this wrong, there are no fees as I am an EU citizen?

Been there twice now, only a short hop from the UK if you need to get back, pleasant clean, quiet, typically Sweedish relaxed and respectful, weathers rubbish though, in Sweden it rains for weeks not just like here for a morning.

They all speak English, taught from 7ish

I use a window factory and have been over there twice for long stays to look at the factory, life is simple, beer is scarse, they are very envious of our weather, like I say above it could rain constantly for weeks

Eh, nothing particularly wrong with the weather in Sweden.

It's pretty much the same as the English weather only it gets a tiny bit less warm in the summer and way colder + snow in the winter.

Not saying there is anything wrong, only repeating comments from people that have live and work there, they like coming over here as it can rain in the morning and clear up in few hours whereas in Sweden when it rains it rains for a long time, I expect the difference is we are a small island and weather passes over us quite quickly

I am currently 30 mins away from Goteborg recording an album and if I were you I wouldn't hesitate in applying...

1) The girls are SOOO HOT
2) Everyone speaks English
3) It's a really nice place

The only downside is the booze prices, ESPECIALLY in bars - this is disastrous compared to the UK...

Other than that, the Swedish girls will like you :)

Excellent news! I better get buff at the gym this year! I will apply I think, sounds like I can't lose. I think applications re-open in Dec for 2011.

Just hope I get a place! I should do, got a degree and 5 yrs work experience and if I apply early I should be alright :s

As for the booze prices I am not to concerned with as I think I'm going to have to study hard to do well on the course and being a bit older and wiser than my undergrad years girls prefer at least a semi-conscious gentleman lol...
